Udi's Gluten Free Bread

I have a new love.  Don’t tell my husband.  Well, perhaps he won’t be too envious when he realizes I’m in love with bread.  Actual, honest-to-god bread that doesn’t need to be toasted and beaten into submission before I can eat it.  This bread is soft and can be made into a sandwich RIGHT OUT OF THE PACKAGE.

What is this miraculous wonder of which I speak?  Udi’s Bread.  They have a whole grain and a white version but I prefer the whole grain.  Actually, the whole grain version tastes like white bread to me but I’ll buy into their illusion of health because I’m eating BREAD!

I did a quick nutritional comparison and calorically, 2 slices of Udi’s Bread is equivalent to one slice of my husband’s Old Mill Co. Honey Whole Wheat Bread.  Udi’s also contains a bit more fat and sodium and a bit less carbohydrate and protein.

As you can see from the picture, the bread has air bubbles and occasional holes so some slices are great for sandwiches and some slices are meant smothered in butter and dipped into soup.

Try it!  I know you’ll love it!
